The “heroquest board game 2021” is an update to the popular board game HeroQuest by Avalon Hill. The team at PulseCon announced the release of the new edition of the game, which will be available in Fall 2021.

24th of October, 2021 – The Avalon Hill team provided an all-new HeroQuest Fall 2021 Update as part of Hasbro PulseCon 2021, their new annual toys and games announcement event. Hasbro’s Avalon Hill division is dedicated to strategic board games (that has been around on its own since 1954 and was acquired in 1998). HeroQuest was the first dungeon crawler, debuted in 1989, and was revived by Hasbro thanks to a $3.7 million crowdsourcing effort.

Face barbarians and dark spells on a journey for adventure in a labyrinth of horrors deep within another realm. This is HeroQuest, a fantasy adventure game in which mastering the skills of fighting and magic is required to win. You’ll never be the same once you’ve tried it.

What exactly is Heroquest?

“In 1989, Heroquest was released as a dungeon crawling game. It’s a well-liked game that introduced a lot of people to gaining and miniatures. We were able to relaunch Heroquest through a crowdfunding effort last year due to our supporters.” — Olga, a member of the marketing department.

What does the new Heroquest include?

“Everything from that campaign is going to our Mythic supporters. They’ll receive the main game as well as the two expansions, The Return of the Witch Lord and Heller’s Keep. They’ll also receive all of the unique extra miniatures and stretch goals, such as Joe Manganiello’s Quest and the Crypt of Darkness, which includes the poison dragon miniature.” — Olga, a member of the marketing department.

When will the new Heroquest be available for purchase?

“We expect our supporters to get their sets very soon, and we are really thrilled for them to do so since none of this would have been possible without their help.” — Olga, a member of the marketing department.

Is there any fresh information on the Heroquest companion app?

“Yes. We revealed in August that we were working on a campaign app that would enable all users to act as heroes by taking on the role of Sargon and directing the monsters in the dungeon. We polled supporters to find out which features they want to see, and we’re presently prioritizing the most popular features, which will be included in the app, which will be released shortly.” — Olga, a member of the marketing department.

What does the future hold for the Heroquest universe?

“I can’t say much right now, but I can say that we have every intention of bringing more Heroquest to you very soon.” We’re presently considering classic extensions as well as fresh story ideas. Since the release of Heroquest, the world, as well as gaming in general, has changed dramatically. The team and I are now sifting through the archives in order to give HeroQuest a fresh new design.” — Doug, the project’s principal developer

Why has Heroquest’s communication been so poor?

“If we’re being honest, we haven’t been ideal in bringing everyone up to date on everything HeroQuest over the last year while we built up this team.” The Haslab campaign began as a little passion project that grew much above our expectations, thus assembling a team took a long time.” — From the Avalon Hill crew, Patrick

What’s this about a Zargon takeover I’ve heard?

“Zargon is an evil wizard who has stolen control of our Twitter account and refuses to return it. I’ve been locked out of the account by him, and I’m not sure how to get back in. So follow @HeroQuest on Twitter to keep up with what he’s up to on a daily basis, as well as all HeroQuest news.
